Kim Peterson

Kim Peterson is the Volunteer Coordinator for Northern Spark 2017. A choreographer and creative maker, Kim brings with her an array of experiences including vision setting, strategic planning, event and program development, volunteer coordination, fundraising and administration from both nonprofit and for profit industries. Her graduate research into representation and funding models for dancers, has reinforced her belief that powerful and engaging experiences with art can transform us, our communities, and our society. She has contributed to organizations such as: The Minnesota Fringe Festival, the Soap Factory, Dancing Classrooms Minnesota, Eureka Recycling, ARENA Dances, TEDxEdina, and the American Cancer Society. Kim is excited to continue creating engaging and impactful experiences through art in the public sphere, elevating the dialogue around aesthetics, and encouraging collaborative exploration between artists and organizations.
